Microsoft’s Gaming Division experienced a 7% decline during his second fiscal quarter.
According to the Earnings Refreshment FY25 Q2 results, Microsoft’s revenue for $ 69.6 billion and increased by 12%, and also a 29% decrease in revenue for its Xbox hardware.
Meanwhile, Xbox’s content and service income increased 2%, which was attributed to the growth of Xbox Game Pass, according to Satya Nadella, chairman and CEO of Microsoft.
In a talk about the Q2 earnings call (VGC), Nadella said: “We are focused on improving the company’s profitability to place the long-term growth driven by higher margin and platform services and we deliver this plan”
“We also continued to see a strong momentum for Xbox Cloud Gaming, with a record 140 million hours streamed this quarter,” Nadella added.
“Everything up, gaming pass set a new quarterly record for revenue and grew its PC subscriber base by over 30%as we focus on running fully paid subscribers.”
It was also mentioned Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Proved to be a success because of its record -breaking launch month and that Indiana Jones and the big circle “Has already been played by more than four million people” since the launch on December 9 to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series and PC.
