San Diego Padre’s manager Mike Shild was thrown out from Monday evening’s 4-3 loss to San Francisco Giants-Men Few could blame him after a crucial home drive was overturned.
In the second round, Padre’s shortstop Xander Bogaerts seemed to hit a ball just above the left field wall in the Petco Park-a much needed boost after Giants scored four races in the first place to take a commanding lead.
However, Giants left Fielder Heliot Ramos then back against Infield and called for a fan interference. He thought a fan had changed the course of the ball.

The play went to video review, and Replay seemed to show that the tab never touched the ball. Instead, Ramos simply failed to catch the catch. The ball deflected its glove and landed in the first row.

Replay -crew in Secaucus, New Jersey, looked different. Umpires overturned the home run, and Giants’ 4-0 lead remained intact.
Shilde stormed out of dugout immediately after the call and was automatically pushed out. According to MLB rules, leaders and players are prohibited from arguing for video review decisions.

The overturned solo shot turned out to be massive. San Diego gathered with three races in the seventh lap to claw back in the game, but eventually fell 4-3.
The loss was Padres’ fourth just after a weekend sweep of Los Angeles Dodgers in a pivotal NL West series. San Diego went into the weekend on top of the division, but quickly returned to second place. Now, 69-56, they track dodgers with two matches.
