Mild earthquake rooms were felt in parts of Karachi early Monday morning, especially around the Quaidabad area, according to the Seismological Center.
The shakes were recorded at. 3:14 with a size of 3.0 on the Richter scale.
The epicenter was located in the Malir region and the depth of the earthquake was measured at 8 kilometers.
No damage or injury was immediately reported, but residents of the affected areas reported short shakes and were left concerned about the sudden disturbance.
On June 16, an earthquake of 3.1 sizes had hit Balochistan’s Kalat district that triggered panic among the residents.
According to the Seismic Center of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), episent of the earthquake was located 8 kilometers southeast of the Kalat district.
