Miley Cyrus has opened up about her experience working for James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ashes.
The 33-year-old singer admitted she made three different songs for the action sci-fi, two of which were scrapped.
Cyrus originally made Dream like one with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt after Cameron gave them a title for the song.
The Wrecking Ball hitmaker said at The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast“We actually got rid of it and we wrote another one and then it didn’t feel quite right.”
Miley revealed that they did another song that didn’t quite work out either, so they threw it away again.
While they recall the production process of the hit soundtrack Hannah Montana the actress opened up, “Then we kind of wrote another song. And then Mark was out of town, and I called Mark and said, ‘Are we really going to give up on the (first) one?’ And he says, “I don’t know, let’s just take a break.”
After Mark returned to town, they came up with a third new song. Later, Cyrus thought about giving it another shot Dream like one.
She added: “And then he comes back to town and there’s another song and we listen to it and then I say, ‘Let’s listen to Dream as One one more time’ and we do and everyone’s like, ‘Forget these other songs, it’s Dream as One,’ and we go back to day one.”
In the end, that’s what the song is for Avatar: Fire and Ashes was completed.
