- Powerful Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 APU Could debut in the New Minis Forum Mini-PC
- Up to 128 GB RAM Expected in Strix Halo-Based Minis Forum X1 Series Unit
- Unannounced mini-PC surfaces in geekbench with well-known name conventions
Minis Forum seems to be working on a new high-end mini PC driven by AMD’s latest Strix Halo Chip.
The unit, which is not yet officially named, is expected to be launched as part of the company’s AI X1 series.
It reportedly contains Ryzen AI MAX+ 395, a powerful APU based on the ZEN 5 architecture. The chip combines strong CPU performance with a potent IGPU and can be paired with up to 128 GB of RAM.
Geekbench scores
As stained off IthomeSeveral items referring to the “Micro Computer (HK) Tech Limited AI series” have appeared on Geekbench, suggesting a minis forum link.
Benchmark results from Geekbench show multi-core scores over 21,000 and one-core results around 2,900. These place the device in front of the minis forum’s existing AI 9 HX 370-based models, which typically score more closely 19,000 and 2,300 respectively.
There are already a number of mini-PCs powered by Ryzen AI MAX+ 395, including the colorful Smart 900, Beelink AI Mini and Aoostar NEX395. So far, most of the Mini PCs have come from lesser -known or regional brands rather than big names such as Dell, Asus and MSI.
Minis Forum’s current AI X1 and N5 Pro Lines already offer strong CPU. But IGPU in 395 delivers a more noticeable leap in graphics tasks.
This hole is particularly clear compared to models such as Ryzen AI Max+ 395 Powered GMKTEC EVO-X2, which is already for sale.
Although the Minis Forum has not confirmed anything official, the leaked device names close to those used across the AI X1 Pro series matches.
We are happy to see what the Minis Forum is coming on as its devices are consistent among the best mini -pcs you can buy. We have previously seen hints at a 2U rackmount server driven by AMDS Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 processor from the Minis Forum, but MS-S1 MAX is a completely different beast.
