Minister of Education is launching degree verification portal

Islamabad:

Education Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Tuesday inaugurated Customer Care Desk (CCD) portal for certificate confirmation, developed by the Inter Board Committee of President (IBCC). The portal aims to give students easier access to certificate verification and related services through an online system.

When he spoke to the occasion, IBCC’s CEO Ghulam Ali Mallah said that students can now verify their academic certificates online via customer service disc, while also tracking the process through QR codes.

He added that students across the country will be able to submit complaints or access services around the clock. “Parents and students all over the world can e -mail IBCC’s customer care desktop, and every E email will be answered within 24 hours,” Mallah said.

He noted that the portal had been running in beta mode for six months and has now been fully published.

Siddiqui, who treated the initial ceremony, said provinces have autonomy of education during the 18th amendment, but IBCC was established to provide coordination and ensure a uniform education standard across the country.

He said the ministry would soon meet with provincial representatives to devise a framework for cooperation. “Today we have crossed a milestone in Pakistan’s history. With technology, students no longer need to be exposed to difficulty getting their certificates verified,” the minister noted.

Siddiqui also said that the final report on the recent Cambridge -Examination Paper leakage would be published when it was completed. Later, the minister planted a plants as part of a plantation drive at IBCC.
