Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Sunday that the government is taking effective measures for the betterment and welfare of farmers.
During a ceremony, the minister noted that the agricultural sector played a key role in the development of the country.
He said the country’s economy is moving in the right direction due to the prudent economic policies of the incumbent government. He noted that the security forces are making unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terror and added that the defense of Pakistan is in safe hands.
He paid tribute to the workers who worked tirelessly in flood affected areas for relief and safe evacuation of people.
