Glenn Jacobs, the former WWE legend, who is known as Kane, now serving as mayor of Tennessee, said on Tuesday that he is willing to accept a provision to make a pro wrestling style match against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
Jacobs, the mayor of Knox County, explained more about his idea for the match in a performance on Outkick’s “The Ricky Cobb Show.” It came after Walz claimed on California Govin Gavin Newsoms Podcast that he could kick the shutters of most President Donald Trump supporters.

“You know, of course, my first reaction when I saw what he said was, ‘You have to be a fun with me man, Tim Walz says that?’ Then I thought with myself, ‘wait a moment, this could be really cool.’ We could have a charity wrestling match, have fun, and the revenue would go to a good cause.
“We wanted to share the gate 50/50 between my chosen organization and his chosen organization. I don’t want to hurt him, I promise. I was the perfect professional, asking someone I worked with. I make it look good, but I haven’t hurt people. I’m proud of it. And I’m willing to agree with a stipulation.”

Jacobs said he thinks Walz would have fun and that the two might even become friends after stepping out of the square circle.
“And what he wants to find is actually fun, and I think afterwards we could be friends. We would disagree about politics, but I think we could be friends and we would have newly gained respect for each other.”

Jacobs supported Trump during the presidential election in 2024. Walz was tapped as Vice President Kamala Harris’ continuous partner, but the two came under Trump and JD Vance.
