Minnesota’s educational agencies are facing a deadline Friday from the US education department to change its trans athlete policies. Now, more than 40 school board members from districts throughout the state have now openly supported compliance with Doe as the deadline is approaching.

The school board members wrote a letter to heads of state in Saint Paul earlier this week – Education Commissioner Willie Jett, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and CEO of Minnesota State High School League Erich Martens – and urged them to comply with President Donald Trump’s administration on the question.

“How do we protect all students in our district. So whether it is in the dressing room or on the gaming field,” wrote Lisa Atkinson, a member of Peir Lake Savage Area Schools Board. “As school districts, we can’t risk the loss in funding. It’s really so important to us. This is an opportunity for our state to find out a way to deploy policies that really protect all students.”

The board members also expressed anxiety over federal financing cuts “that would adversely affect educational programs, leisure activities and resources for over 875,000 students throughout the country.”

Trump’s February 5 “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” executive order says that schools allowing biological men to compete in girls’ sports will be subject to federal financing freezer.

Ellison, who has been an affordable supporter of Trans athletes in girls’ sports and has even brought a lawsuit against Trump and the US Ministry of Justice for his recent title IX enforcement efforts, responded to the letter in a statement.

“School sport is not just a great way to get training, they help children build friendships, make them feel like they belong and teach them important life lessons, such as how to work as a team, how to treat their competition with respect, and how to win with grace and lose with dignity. Letting the very small number of transcend students in Minnesota play in their school sports Leisure activities for decades, “Ellison said via Fox 9.

“I am also concerned about the Trump administration’s threats of cutting education financing to children over Minnesota, but this case is in court right now. The federal government’s threats violate the US constitution, Minnesota Law and Title IX itself. in Minnesota. ”

Meanwhile, several girls’ athletes have taken steps to try to push their state to change its policies.

Three anonymous girls’ softball players have brought a lawsuit against state agencies after having to meet a trans pitcher from Champlin Park High School last season. Trans Pitcher, Marissa Rothenberger, led Champlin Park to a state championship in the spring with one of the best playoffs lines in the entire Minnesota.

“It’s really troubling to know that [Ellison] Does not take rights for girls and women seriously. He allows boys to compete with girls and it is not safe and completely unfair. Knowing that AG Ellison is in complete support for letting boys and men benefit from women in sports is absolutely disgusting and wrong, “an anonymous player said former Pakinomist Digital.

Meanwhile, former White Bear Lake High School Softball player Kendall Kotzmacher has publicly spoken out to the state and head of government Tim Walz to let men play in girls’ sports, especially after Walz even coached high school football decades ago and saw the physical prowess of male athletes.

“As a coach, you need to see the differences and the huge difference that there is between biological men and biological women,” Kotzmacher told Pakinomist Digital.

The state legislator failed to pass a bill that would have banned trans athletes from girls’ sports, “Conservative Girls Sports Act”, back in March. It fell a voice shy to move on to Walz’s desk. Meanwhile, the state legislator called rep. Liish Kozlowski, who identifies himself as “non-binary”, the bill “Another version of state-sanctioned bullying and genocide.”
