Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison on Tuesday announced a lawsuit against the Trump administration and the Ministry of Justice to ensure that states can continue to let biologically male trans athletes play in girls’ sports.
The White House has responded to the trial and condemned Ellison for having taken lawsuits to enable trans -cluttering.
“Why should an adult man sue the Trump administration to allow other biological men to participate in women’s sports? This is creepy and anti-woman,” spokesman for the White House Harrison Fields told Pakinomist Digital.
Ellison published the message at a press conference after months in which the state defies Trump’s “Keeping but out of women’s sports”. Ellison claimed he had received notice from the Department of Justice, who threatened litigation if the state did not follow the executive order.
“I don’t want to sit around waiting for the Trump administration to sue Minnesota. Today, Minnesota is suing him and his administration because we will not participate in this shameful bullying,” Ellison said. “We won’t let a small group of vulnerable children who only try to be healthy and live their lives, be demonized.”

Ellison’s trial filed with the US District Court of Minneapolis claims that the Trump administration does not have the authority to put states’ policy of athletic gender eligibility through an executive order.
Minnesota is the first state to sue the Ministry of Justice over threats to cut funding to let Trans athletes play in girls’ sports and the second state suing the Trump administration during the question.
Maine has brought a lawsuit against Trump after the Department of Agriculture cut funding to the state on April 2, and a federal judge has already decided on the USDA to free up funding.

Minnesota’s state legislator failed to adopt the “preservative girls’ sports law” in early March, which would have stated that “only female students can participate in an athletic team or sport at the high school level that an educational institution has limited to women and girls.”

Former Minnesota Vikings and University of Minnesota football player Jack Brewer Lobbed for the bill and had told Pakinomist Digital that he found Walz’s Pro-Trans posture “disgusting”, especially considering that Walz was a football coach at Mankato West High School in the 1990s.
“It’s absolutely disgusting, which is why when you see him and you see his manners and the way he carries himself, you know that this guy is not appealing to real men and boys who have fought for it on Gridiron, man. I have nothing in common with this guy,” Brewer said.

A New York Times/Ipsos study found that the vast majority of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, do not think transking athletes should be allowed to compete in women’s sports.
Of the 2,128 people who participated, 79% biological men who identify themselves as women said should not be allowed to participate in women’s sports. Of the 1,025 people who identified themselves as Democrats or inclined Democratic, 67%said transnry athletes should not be allowed to compete with women.
