Former prime minister Imran Khan’s adviser on home affairs and accountability, Mirza Shehzad Akbar, has been declared a perpetrator, judicial magistrate Muhammad Abbas Shah has announced. The judge has also ordered Akbar’s arrest.
Despite being summoned several times, Akbar has reportedly failed to appear in court. The case against him was brought on the basis of allegedly controversial statements posted on X (formerly Twitter). The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) had registered a case against Akbar in July 2025 regarding this.
