“I feel a huge amount of pride right now,” she said via Mass Live. “I hope anyone who sees this finds the strength to push through what it is that they go through and embody that hate never wins.”

“I often think about this because there is a mass immigration for fishermen that occurs in the rural areas in Maine, and I will not see more fishermen leave this place,” she said. “Like your next Miss Maine US, I would do a point to go to society … to go into government and go in for these people so they don’t have to think of these memories as an earlier moment.”
