YouTube TV has quickly become one of the best streaming services to life, especially if you want to replace cable with a service available on a wealth of streaming units. During the last day, however, Roku users have noticed that the YouTube TV app has been strangely disappeared from their devices.
Not only has YouTube -TV app disappeared, but some users have seen it not available to reinstall. This had led owners of Roku -streaming devices to go to Reddit to share their experiences with the problem, with some swarming Roku forums and also Google’s support page.
One of the first stores that brought the problem in the light was 9to5Google, which stated that the cause of the problem is still not confirmed. We’ve reached Google to find out if there’s any update and will update this story if we hear back.

The most frustrating part of YouTube TV’s app disappears is that it has taken a lot of trial and mistake for users to solve – and as it says, neither Roku nor Google have come to solve the problem.
Searching the app on the installed list on your ROKU device does not seem to help, nor are resetting the device. But fortunately, it seems to be alternative ways that users have found.
How to Restore YouTube TV app on Roku
According to a ROKU Community moderator, this problem can be solved by checking for any ROKU OS updates that may need to install. Updating the latest OS version has helped many users restore YouTube TV app.
For those who have already downloaded the latest version of Roku OS, if YouTube TV app is still missing, Android Police says you can still use the Standard YouTube app to access YouTube TV’s channels. When you open the left menu, roll down to the bottom and you will find an option for YouTube TV.
Over the past few months, YouTube has been teasing updates, including two new features that allow users and creators to comment and interact with videos, and also a large Netflix update.
It is unclear whether this recent number is related to YouTube TV’s possible upgrades, but we have asked Google for any insight and will update this story if we get an answer.
