Baseball fans were stunned on Monday night as they voted into the MLB Home Run Derby and saw something they probably never saw before in the event – an outfield ballboy who robbed a home drive.
The amazing moment occurred in the final round of Derby when Tampa Bay Rays Slugger Junior Caminero tried to outduel Seattle Mariners star Cal Raleigh.

Caminero hit a shot deep to the left field, but one of the outfielders, usually meant to just pick up the balls that don’t make it out of the park, apparently took a homemade away from the Ray player.
ESPN -TV stations mentioned that Chicago Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg had the same thing that happened to him during his attempt to win the home run Derby about 40 years ago. The biggest difference was that a baseball team in high school was in Outfield Shagging Baseballs.
Still were fans in shock.
Caminero still had a legitimate shot for Top Raleigh in the Derby, but came up just short. Raleigh won the competition, 18-15.

“Big Dumps”, as he is lovingly known, is the first catcher to ever won the event since it began four decades ago. Raleigh is also the second Mariners player to ever won, as Ken Griffey Jr., Hall of Famer, who was in Dugout -See, was the only one before this performance.
“Anyone who has ever played baseball as a child dreams of things like this,” said Cal’s father. “I dreamed of it. He dreamed of it. When you’re a parent, you look at it differently because you want your kids to be happy.”
Raleigh went on to the last round thanks to a tiebreaker with athletics’ Brent Rooker. Raleigh hit a longer home drive than Rooker 470.61 feet to 470.53.

On Tuesday, Raleigh gets the marines in the All-Star game.
The game takes place in Truist Park, Atlanta Braves home. It will be shipped at FOX at. 20 et.
