For Toronto Blue Jays Center Fielder Daulton Varsho, what looked like a routine flow ball, turned everything but routine during the fourth round of Boston Red Sox’s 10-2 win on Tuesday.
There were no runners on the base with one out when Red Sox -Leadoff -Hitter Jarren Duran stepped to the record and hit a fluff ball in Varsho’s direction.
Varsho turned and ran back against the warning track and fell down as he went to turn to catch the ball. With his back against the home plate and turned completely away from the ball, Varsho quickly got back on one knee and stuck his glove behind his back in a last ditch insert to play.

The fly ball fell miraculously right into Varsho’s glove to out. Blue Jays Center Fielder randomly stood up after the circus catch and turned the ball back to Infield before eventually cracking a smile.
In the scorebook it went down like an F-8, but the roller coaster ride in a catch was anything but the average flight to the center field.
However, Red Sox did not leave Varsho many other plays to make when they clubed five homes in the victory.
