Atlanta Braves Outfielder Jurickson Profar will be suspended for the next 80 matches for violating MLB’s performance -enhancing drug policy.
Per Mlb’s politics, even after Profar returns from Suspension, he is not eligible to play during the autumn period.
MLB announced the suspension in a statement Monday.

“The Office of the Baseball Commissioner announced today that Atlanta Brave’s Outfielder Jurickson Profar has received an 80-game pension without pay after testing positively for chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG), a performance improvement substance, in contravention of major league baseball’s joint medicine and treatment program. Effectively, ”read the statement.

Braves released their own statement relating to the suspension.
“We were surprised and extremely disappointed to hear that Jurickson Profar tested positively for a performance-enhancing drug in violation of Major League Baseball’s joint prevention and treatment program. We fully support the program and hope Jurickson will learn from this experience,” the team said.

Profar was named an all-star for the first time in his career in 2024 at the age of 31.
Profar signed a three-year, $ 42 million deal with Braves in January.
