Atlanta Braves Center Fielder Michael Harris II got a sensational catch when he robbed a three-race home drive during the fourth round of the team’s 5-4 loss against Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park.
Phillies was up 2-0 with runners on first and second base at the bottom of the fourth inning. Phillies left Fielder Max Kepler smoked a hanging 85 mph splitter from Scott Blewett and drove Harris back towards the midfield wall.
Harris traced the ball all the way and timed his jump beautifully and reached the wall to get the catch and bring what would have been a three-run home drive for Kepler.

With runners on first and second base, Harris quickly fired the ball back in infield.
After abandoning the deep explosion to Kepler, the Blewett final recorded out of the lap and left the inning unharmed.

Braves and Phillies play a doubleheader on Thursday after Wednesday’s game was exposed due to bad weather.
Harris burst out on stage with Braves and won the National League Rookie of the Year in 2022. He hit .297 with 19 home runs and 64 RBI and 20 stolen bases.

However, the 24-year-old in recent seasons has not played as well as he did in his rookie season. This season, in 53 games, Harris has a .223 batting average with three home runs and a gentle .255 at base percentage.
