Julio Urías, a world champion with Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020, and a former NL victory and ERA leader, were suspended through this year’s All-Star break for violating MLB’s home violence, sexual assault and policy for children abuse, announced Commissioner Rob Manfred on Friday.
Urías’ agent, Scott Boras, said the jug did not release any statements.
The 28-year-old left-handed pitcher has not played since September 1, 2023.
Urías claimed no competition in May for a number of wrongdoing domestic battery. The penalty was the second for Urías under the policy after a 20-game pension in 2019. MLB said he will be reintroduced from the limited list 17 July.

He was arrested on September 3, 2023 outside BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, where he had participated in a Major League Soccer Game. The Department of Public Safety said it was contacted by someone whose name was not published about a physical switch between a man and a woman.
Urías was originally indicted for a crime of corporal damage to a spouse or collection, and he was put on administrative leave of MLB 6 September.

Urías claimed no competition for a number of wrongdoing domestic battery the following May 1, and four other wrongdoing were placed.
Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office spokesman Ivor Pine said Urías was placed on 36 months of summary and ordered to complete 30 days of social work. Urías must also complete a 52-week advisory course in the home, pay a fee for domestic violence, have no weapons, do not use any power or violence, pay a refund to the victim and comply with a protective order.

“After reviewing all the available evidence, I have concluded that Mr. Urías violated our policy and that the discipline is appropriate,” Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement Friday.
MLB said Urías agreed to be evaluated by the joint political board established by the MLB and Players Association and to comply with any of its recommendations.
Urías became a free agent after 2023 World Series when his $ 4.7 million, one year of contract expired.

Urías was also arrested in May 2019 on suspicion of domestic battery. While being suspended by MLB, he was not prosecuted by La City Attorney, provided he ends a 52-week counseling program for domestic violence.
In eight large league seasons, all with Dodgers, Urías are 60-25 with a 3.11 ERA. He led the National League with a 2.16 ERA in 2022 and was a member of the team who won the World Series in 2020, where he went 4-0 with a saw and a 1.17 era in six autumn year’s performance.
