In the previous filing, Riveras was accused of having taken insufficient measures to protect the girl who was listed as Jane Doe in the complaint. The complaint claims that an assault occurred in “approximately summer 2018” in a New York Home Riveras’ owned at the time.

According to the trial, the alleged abuse occurred at a barbecue to which children who attended the church were invited. However, the parents of the participating children did not receive invitations according to the suit.

The changed suit’s details were in accordance with the initial filing. In both archives, Riveras allegedly ignored the girl’s claims of sexual abuse and “isolated and scared” her in an attempt to make sure she remained quiet about the alleged incident.

“Instead of taking sufficient steps to end the sexual abuse of Jane A Doe, isolated Riveras every separately and scared Jane A Doe to be silent about her abuse to avoid causing problems for refugio and Ignite Life Summer Internship,” the trial states.

“To avoid the potential scandal of sexual abuse of children in his programs and otherwise protects defendants over everything else, Riveras assured in their capacity as agents and/or employees of defendants that Mother was a doe that Jane a Doe was safe and in no danger in the Ignite Life Center, despite actual or constructive knowledge that Jane was vulnerable to further actions of further actions.”

Joseph A. Ruta, a lawyer representing Riveras, said the claims against his clients are “completely false.”

The applicant is seeking a jury attempt and compensatory and punitive damage.
