“Threats to my life and my wife’s life are terrible and cruel. You need help,” wrote Hendriks on his Instagram story.

“Maybe you should take a step back and reassess your life’s purpose before hiding behind a screen that attacks players and their families.”

Hendriks announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, in January 2023. The three-time all-star returned to the haug less than five months later and looked up for Chicago White Sox.

After only five appearances, since returning to the field after his battle with cancer, Hendriks needed Tommy John Surgery. Red Sox signed him for a two-year contract of $ 10 million in 2024 in his recovery, but Hendriks did not throw last season when he rehabbed.

“Whether you (send death threats) from your ‘fake accounts’ or are you stupid enough to do it from your real account. I think I speak for all players who have to tackle this in their career when I say,” Hendriks wrote.
