World Series Master Mark Teixeira has a message to Democrats who are upset over Texas’ new congress card.
Greg Abbott, R-Texas, signed a new map that probably secures five additional Republican-advisable US house districts prior to the mid-2026 election. Teixeira, launching his campaign for the US Representative House on Thursday, said Democrats, who are upset, need to “have better policies.”
“Have better policies. I know the progressive policies are not working in America. You can see it in cities across the country that have democratic and progressive mayors and these cities need to be cleaned up. You see what President Trump is doing in Washington, DC, right now – it works,” Teixeira said during a recent appearance on Pakinomist’

“What I wanted to tell Democrats in Texas, across the country, is when you have policies that actually want to help Americans come and talk to us. But Republicans are out there, conservatives are out there with a first agenda and we want to help Americans help Texans every single day.”
Former New York Yankee’s Slugger is the campaign for Texas ’21. Congress District. Teixeira’s message followed rep. Chip Roy’s decision not to apply for re -election as he runs for Texas Attorney General.
The three-time all-Star called his policy focus “pretty simple.”

“It’s probably the limit, low taxes, shrinking the government as they grow the economy, protecting life and the second amendment. These conservative principles – helping Americans, helping American families, helping America to flourish – is what I want to bring out on track and what the Texas families deserve,” Teixeira said.
“The 21st District of Texas is full of great people, patriots who love God, love their country, love the state of Texas, and I can’t wait to go out there and meet them all and make sure they understand what I believe in.”
The 45-year-old played for four teams in his big league career. Teixeira debuted with Texas Rangers and spent five seasons with the team before being shopped for Atlanta Braves.

He was later traded to Los Angeles Angels after parts of two seasons with braves and then signed with Yankees.
The five-time Gold Glove winner was an important part of the Yankees team in 2009 that beat Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series. Teixeira completed her career with a .268 batting average, 409 home runs and 1,298 RBIs.
