New York Met’s first Baseman Pete Alonso caught flak from baseball fans Monday after he seemed to celebrate a throw to end an inning against Boston Red Sox.

Boston led 3-1 at the bottom of the sixth when New York jugs Kodai Senga caused dough David Hamilton to hit a Grounder to the first basic side. Alonso felt the ball and threw it to Senga for out. Alonso moved his hips to celebrate to quit out.

Baseball fans were not -covered. Two laps in the past, Alonso tried to turn the ball into Senga for one out, but threw the ball over the pitcher head.

He had a similar problem in Sunday evening’s game against New York Yankees as he missed throwing a ball to the home plate, enabling a runner to score. Mets lost this game against Yankees and Monday’s match against Red Sox.

“I messed it up,” Alonso said after the loss to Yankees via the athletic. “I just made a terrible throw. The whole inning, this game, is on me. This is 100% on me.”

Alonso was 1-for-3 against Boston.

He hits 0.301 with a ops of .964 and has nine home runs on the season. New York started off with a hot start, but the matches start to emerge, even when the team is tied to first in the National League East with a record of 29-19.

The team’s loss against Red Sox dropped them to 8-9 in May. New York lost only eight games in April. Mets have lost four out of their last five, going back to last week’s series final against Pittsburgh Pirates.
