Cincinnati Reds’ 1-0 loss to Milwaukee Brewers Thursday was their third consecutive 1-0 loss and became the first MLB team of 65 years to achieve such a holding.
No MLB team has had three just 1-0 defeat since Philadelphia Phillies did it in May 1960.
Only six teams in the league story have ever had three just 1-0 defeats, and no team has ever had four such defeats in a row – at least for now.

Four of the six times it has taken place were over a century ago. The other teams that lost 1-0 in three consecutive matches were Brooklyn Superbas in 1908, St. Louis Browns and Washington Senators in 1909 and Pittsburgh Pirates in 1917.
In Reds’ loss on Thursday, brewery threw -pitcher Nestor Cortes six laps and gave only one hit while knocking out six.
Reds’ starting jug, Nick Lodolo, was as good as he beat 6.2 shutout and gave up four hits while knocking out four blows. Reds had only two hits in the loss.

“That’s part of the game, you know?” Said Lodolo. “I want to be honest with you. Obviously, I want us to score, but I don’t really think about it. I have to do my job at the end of the day, no matter. We turn it around. I guarantee it.”
1-0 defeat steak began on Tuesday against Texas Rangers when Nathan Eovaldi threw a complete closure. Jack Leiter and Four Rangers ‘Relievers continued to keep Reds’ violation away from the scoring sheet on Wednesday.
The irony is, before the last three games of gentle violation, the red bats exclaimed on Monday when they won 14-3 over Rangers. Since the offensive explosion, however, the red bats have been sleeping.

Cincinnati has combined nine hits, three walks and 27 strikes under slip.
“No one is happy with what happened to the last three matches,” said Reds’ manager Terry Francona Postgame on Thursday. “We’ll find out it together. I feel strongly over it.”
