Colorado Rockies and Pittsburgh Pirates played the wildest game of the season on Friday at Coors Field.
Rockies, after being down 9-0 after the top of the first lap, came back to walk away the pirates, 17-16.
Pirates ‘Lineup Teed off at Rockies’ Start Herd, Antonio Senzatela, when they scored eight ran on him while only recording two outs. Pirates Center Fielder Oneil Cruz delivered the big battle as he hit a grand slam to make it 5-0.

Rockies Relief Pitcher Carson Palmquist lightened Senzatela and gave up a three-run home drive to Andrew McCutchen on the first dough he saw to make it 9-0 pirates after the top of the first place.
However, Rockies started chip away as they scored a race in the first place and three races in the third lap to make it 9-4. The pirates padded their lead at the top of the fourth round with three races to make it 12-4.
But Rockies refused to go away as they scored two races at the bottom of the fourth lap to make it 12-6. The pirates scored three races at the top of the fifth lap to make it 15-6, but Rockies reacted with another four of their own races to make it 15-10 at the bottom of the fifth lap.
The pirates clung to another race at the top of the sixth lap to make it 16-10. The result held there until the bottom of the eighth lap when Rockies scored two races to cut it to 16-12.

Rockies began their ninth-ining comeback as Catcher Hunter Goodman hit a solo home driving of Pirates’ relief pitcher Dennis Santana to make it 16-13. Left Fielder Jordan Beck followed Goodman’s home drive with a trip.
Rockie’s first Baseman, who warmed Bernabel, hit a triple, scoring Beck to cut the lead to 16-14. Second Baseman Thairo Estrada Singles after Bernabels triple to score him to make it 16-15.
With Estrada as a binding run at the base, the middle of Fielder Brenton Doyle was a two-run home drive to make it 17-16 and walk the pirates away.
“Honestly, rather speechless,” Doyle told journalists after the game. “It’s hard to put words on. Just so proud of everyone in this clubhouse and never give up. Man what a win.”

According to Elias Sports Bureau and MLB.com, Rockies was the first team to win after releasing nine races in the first lap since the then Cleveland Indians did in a 15-13, 10-of-going triumph of Kansas City Royals in 2006. Cleveland drew games 10-1 after an entrance.
The other three apartments where a team won a game after allowing at least nine races in the first lap returned in 1884, 1896 and 1913.
“Getting nine in the first thing, it’s hard to get back from, but we kept the energy high,” Doyle said. “We held the fight in us. Oh my God what a game.”
