Detroit Tigers Outfielder Riley Greene made history under the Tigers’ 9-1 win over Los Angeles Angels on Friday.
Greene, 24, became the first player in the MLB story to hit two home runs in the ninth lap.
Green’s first ninth-in-the-in-explosion broke a 1-1-up when Kenley Jansen’s cutting was right down on Broadway, and Tigers’ star didn’t miss it. Green’s 371-foot explosion came just above the wall in the right field to give Tigers a 2-1 ninth-in-in-in lead.

Greene became the first Tigers player to hit two homers in a game since Magglio Ordonez against Oakland athletics on August 12, 2007. The only other Tigers player twice to Homer twice in an inning was Hall-of-Maline Al Kaline, against Kansas City A’s on April 17, 1955.
In the season, Greene has a .262 batting average with six home runs and 16 RBI in 31 games played.
