New York Yankees Outfielder Cody Bellinger did not start in the team’s match against Detroit Tigers Tuesday due to food poisoning.
Bellinger, 29, ate some chicken wings last night and threw up all night, according to Yankee’s manager Aaron Boone. At the moment Boone said no one else on the team is sick.
“Hopefully (he is) feeling a little better now and we will see if we can get him started, make him somehow available as the game goes,” Boone said via the New York Post.

With Bellings out of the lineup on Tuesday, he has missed three of the last five matches. Outfielder missed two matches against Pittsburgh Pirates due to a stiff back.
He returned to the lineup on Sunday and played in Yankees’ 6-2 losses to the Tigers on Monday.
Yankees acquired Bellinger in a trade with Chicago Cubs this offseason to help replace Juan Soto after Soto went into the Free Agency for the New York Mets.

In eight games this season, Bellinger has an average of .233 with a home drive and six RBI while playing in the left field, center field and right field.
Center Fielder Trent Grisham took over Bellingers Plads in the starting lineup on Tuesday. Grisham is in the process of a scalding this season and hits 0.423 with three home runs and nine RBI in nine games.
Yankees went into Tuesday’s match against the tigers with a 6-4 record and they are at the top of all East.
