In free agency this past out of season, Bieber signed a one -year deal with The Guardians, allegedly worth up to $ 10 million, which included a $ 16 million player by 2026.

The two-time All-Star beat only two games last season before undergoing surgery. Bieber was closed after his first rehabilitation start as he experienced tenderness in his surgically repaired elbow.

However, things have gone smooth since the first setback as he started four rehabilitation starters in July between the Rookie-League Arizona complex, High-A Lake County and Double-A Akron.

Bieber threw 57 seats in his last rehabilitation start and is on his way to debuting in the season sometime in August.

Bieber had spent his entire seven-year career at The Guardians.

Blue Jays currently have five starters – Kevin Gausman, Chris Bassitt, Jose Berrios, Eric Lauer and Max Scherzer – but a team can never have enough pitching.

If Bieber could return anywhere close to his Cy Young shape, Blue Jays would have added another ace to their rotation. He won the award in 2020 in the coronavirus impacted season.

Blue Jays are 64-46 and has a four-game lead over New York Yankees to first place in the American League East.

Stephen, 22, was Blue Jay’s second round election in the 2024 MLB draft out of Mississippi State. Across three smaller corpses this season, Stephen has thrive.

Stephen has a 9-1 record with a 2.06 in 17 starts and 91.2 laps this season.

The guardians are 54-54, but they are nine matches behind the Detroit Tigers for first place in the American League Central. They were joined to trade with other key players on their list before the trade deadline.
