The MLB trading deadline was full of surprises this year.
18:00 One-deadline Thursday brought lots of unexpected features, including high leverage relievers that were going to challengers and a reunion in Houston.
Below are four teams that made big features.

Houston Astros reunite with Carlos Correa
Houston Astros Third Baseman Isaac Paredes is out in the season after he injured his hamstring, and the team turned to one of its former stars to replace paredes.
The team acquired Correa, which is reportedly moving from shortstop to third base to take pared’s location, according to the New York Post.
The three-time all-star has not been his usual self this season, but has still been solid. In 93 games, Correa has a .267 batting average with seven home runs and 31 RBI.
Astros (62-47) leads the American League West with five matches and is well placed for a deep end game.
On the other hand, the twins acquired less league-left-handed pitcher Matt Mikulski. The twins also pay $ 33 million of the $ 91.5 million caused by Correa throughout the 2028 season, according to ESPN.

Yankee’s General Manager Brian Cashman acquired seven players before the trade deadline, three relievers and four position players.
Yankees’ Bullpen has been a big weakness from late with a 6.38 era in the last 27 matches. Yankees acquired two-time all-star David Bednar from Pittsburgh Pirates, All-Star Camilo Doval from San Francisco Giants and Jake Bird of Colorado Rockies.
Bednar, 30, had a 2.37 era with 17 savings in 38 laps for the pirates. Doval, 28, has a 3.09 era with 15 savings in 46.2 laps. Bird, 26, has a 4.73 era in 53.1 laps.

Yankees also acquired usual player Amed Rosario from Washington Nationals, Outfielder Austin Slater from Chicago White Sox and Utility Player Jose Caballero from Tampa Bay Rays.
Rosario and Slaten have a strong number against left-handed throwers, while Caballero is tied to the MLB lead in stealing (34).
Last week, Yankees acquired the third Baseman Ryan McMahon from Rockies to strengthen the hot corner.
Yankees (60-49) has a wild map in the American league and chases Toronto Blue Jays for first place in the American League East.

New York Mets strengthen their bullp, few Center Fielder
Mets made a few traits before the deadline to strengthen their bullp and acquire two-time all-star-reliever Gregory Soto from Baltimore Orioles, set up man Tyler Rogers from San Francisco Giants and two-time all-Star Closer Ryan Helsley from St. Louis Cardinals.
Soto has a 3.79 ERA with 46 strikes in 38 laps between Orioles and Mets this season. Rogers has been fantastic for Giants who threw himself into a 1.80 era in 50 laps. Helsley registered 21 savings with a 3.00 era for the Cardinals.
Padres acquires All-Star closer Mason Miller from Athletics in the Blockbuster Agreement before the Trade Deadline
They also filled their hole in the middle field and acquired the All-Star Cedric Mullins from Orioles on Thursday.
Mullins plays a strong center field and has a .229 batting average with 15 home runs and 49 RBI, but he has been hot recently.
Mets (62-47) has a half-game lead over Phillies (61-47) to first place in NL East.

San Diego Padres goes all out
Padre’s General Manager AJ is known to be aggressive, and he did nothing to change his reputation on Thursday as he went out and acquired seven players.
Padres acquired All-Star closer Mason Miller and starting pot JP Sears from athletics, but the award was steep. They gave up one of the best prospects in the sport of Leo de Vries.
They also gave up three pitching prospects and sent Braden Nett, Henry Baez and Eduarniel Núñez to athletics.
Miller, 26, routinely throws over 100 km / h on its fastball. In the season, Miller had a 3.76 era with 20 savings in 38.1 laps for athletics for this season.
Sears, 26, will be a back-of-the-rotation starts for Padres. He has a 7-9 record and 4.95 era in 22 starts this season.
After praying the blockbuster trade with athletics, he acquired the all-star first Baseman Ryan O’Hearn and Outfielder Ramón Laurano from Orioles.
O’Hearn, 32, has had a fantastic season with Orioles hitting .283 with 13 home runs and 43 RBIs. Laureano, 31, has also had a strong season offensively with a .290 batting average, 15 home runs and 46 RBIs while playing a strong defense.

Padres also acquired Catcher Freddy Fermin from Kansas City Royals and Infielder Will Wagner from Toronto Blue Jays. Both players give depth on the bench.
The last move that Padres made was to acquire all-star starter nestor cortes from Milwaukee Brewers. Cortes has only made two starts this season after being placed on the wounded list of a left elbow flexor strain.
Padres (60-49) hope their Litany of Deadline movements is enough to catch Los Angeles Dodgers (63-46) for first place in the National League West.
