Canadian Major League Soccer fans booed “The Star-Spangled Banner” before a match between Vancouver Whitecaps and Los Angeles Galaxy Sunday night.
Fans added to the trend that has taken over Canada since President Donald Trump decided to place tariffs on Canadian goods and teased Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that the country was the 51st US state. It started with hockey on an Ottawa Senators game and continued into 4 Nations Face-off and even on Wwes Elimination Chamber.

“I would like to thank the fans who cheered and clapped the hymn at the end and showed respect for the flag,” he told journalists via Daily Hive Vancouver. “Obviously there are problems. It’s not my business and I leave it to it.”
