The Foreign Office has categorically rejected the inflammatory and provocative statements of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi against Pakistan in his speech on Monday.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, spokesman for the Foreign Office Shafqat Ali Khan said that at a time when international efforts are promoting regional peace and stability, Indian Prime Minister Modi represents a dangerous escalation that is anchored in wrong information, political opportunism and an obvious ignoring of international law. “This statement also reflects a tendency to produce misleading narratives to justify aggression,” he added.
Khan declared that Pakistan remains obliged to the recent ceasefire understanding and continues to take the necessary steps towards downhill and regional stability.
“This ceasefire was achieved through the relief of several friendly countries that reached out to us with messages that encouraged de-peeling,” he said. He rejected the portrayal of Pakistan as seeking a ceasefire out of “despair and frustration”, called it another obvious falsehood.
To call the Pahaldam -attack a politically motivated and mixed story aimed at justifying aggression against Pakistan, the spokesman said: “Pahagam -attack Casus BelliServes domestic political goals, divert attention from rising municipal tensions and violations of human rights in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and reinforced a portrayed tale of an eternal external threat. “
He said that after India’s illegal and unprovoked aggression against innocent Pakistani civilians during a false pretext of terrorism – and despite Pakistan’s restraint – the interior of the situation escalated by targeting Pakistan’s military bases and risking an uncontrollable spiral.
The spokesman warned that Indian actions set a dangerous precedent for aggression and drew the entire region to the brink of disaster. “This reflects the mindset of a revisionist actor seeking to increase strategic stability in South Asia without regard to the consequences,” he said.
He also said that India is trying to justify the cold -blooded murder of innocent civilians, mostly women and children, while portraying its brinkmanship as the “new normal” to the region.
“Pakistan totally rejects this claim. The ‘normal’ remains that no one is allowed to challenge the principles and purpose of the UN -Charter, as abundantly demonstrated by Pakistan in decisively defending his sovereignty, territorial integrity and its human security,” he claimed.
“Make no mistake, we will closely monitor India’s actions and behavior in this regard in the coming days,” he warned, calling on the international community to do the same.
The spokesman confirmed that Pakistan has the right to self -defense and said, “Our reaction to Indian aggression was calibrated and targeted strictly against military installations.”
“Pakistan demonstrated his strength against Indian military capacity and goals. This is now an undisclosed and well -known fact that cannot be denied through wrong information and propaganda,” he said.
He added that India’s illegal and unilateral acts are also clear in its obvious ignoring binding agreements, such as the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), which has controlled shared water resources for decades. “Pakistan will take all the necessary measures to maintain his rights under the Treaty,” he maintained.
Khan highlighted India’s role in sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan and said, “Pakistan is a victim of terrorism that is directly sponsored by India. We have suffered tremendously because of this scourge. Our contribution and victims in the global fight against terrorism are well -documented and recognized.
He expressed full support for US President Donald Trump’s efforts to resolve Kashmir -Tvisten and said, “Pakistan has always supported a peaceful solution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN Security Council’s solutions and the ambitions of the Kashmiri people.”
“In this regard, we repeat our support for President Trump’s efforts aimed at solving this dispute, which remains a source of instability in South Asia,” he added.
The spokesman concluded by stating that peace in this era is the true strength. “The world is not served with theater militarism and magnificent, but by mature leadership, regional cooperation and respect for international norms.”
He warned that Pakistan’s obligation to peace must never be confused with weakness.
“Pakistan is a sovereign nation with resilient institutions, a committed population and a globally recognized role in maintaining peace and security. Any future aggression will also be met with full determination. We hope India will prioritize regional stability and citizens’ well -being over narrow in narrow, politically motivated jingoism,” he claimed.
