Los Angeles Dodgers was without Star Mookie Betts in the team’s 8-5 win over New York Yankees due to a freak toe damage he allegedly became persistent to go to a bathroom.
Betts, 32, said he knocked his toe into a wall when he went to the bathroom in the dark, according to the Los Angeles Times.
X -rays revealed Betts broken the toe, according to ESPN.

Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts said Betts will miss games against Yankees on Saturday and Sunday, but he doesn’t expect the eight-time all-star to go on the wounded list.
“I feel convinced to say it’s day to day,” Roberts said, “but it was hard for him to put a shoe today.”
Betts has one down -year compared to his career numbers. 2018 AL MVP has a .254 batting average with eight home runs and 31 RBIs and a .742 ops in 53 games this season.

In his 12-year career, Betts has a batting average of .293 and a .891 ops.
Betts’ freak injury is not the first for Dodgers this season. First Baseman Freddie Freeman had a similar incident that made him miss nine matches after slipping into the shower and worsening his surgically repaired right ankle.

“Mookie’s toe, it’s a bit freaky, like what happened to me,” Freeman said after Dodgers’ victory. “You hit speeding along the way. We did this past year and we did well. Hopefully we can do it again this year.”
Yankees (35-21) and Dodgers (35-22) play the second game in their three-game series on Saturday at. 19:15 one at Fox.
