- A new report on the Samsung Tri-Fold phone has revealed more details
- It can be displayed along with Samsung’s other foldable 2025
- A Galaxy G Fold -Name is already rumored
Last month, Samsung teased a tri-fold folding phone to be launched sometime later in the year and we have now received more leaked information about what to expect when the new device eventually emerges.
According to South Korean Outlet a -News (via @jukanlosreve), mass production of the collapsible planned for April, when Samsung finishes supply chain parts. Unlike Huawei Mate XT, it will apparently be folded inward (as previously rumored), so two screens are needed.
According to this report, these screens measure 9.96 inches and 6.49 inches. This main screen is just a touch less than the Huawei Tri-Fold, which has a 10.2-inch main display (one-third of which makes double duty as cover display).
Another important revelation here: Tri-Fold is tipped to launch next to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold See 2, which should be around July time it will not Necessarily use right away.
A rumored name
Report: Samsung is preparing for mass production of ‘dual-fold’ Foldable telephone-expected to launch along with the Z7 series according to reports from Korean media citing anonymous sources, Samsung plans to start acquiring components for his double folding phone around April …February 24, 2025
This one -news report also suggests that the main screen is missing a Digitizer to keep it as slim as possible – that means no support for an S pen stylus, unlike the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
We do not get a name for the Tri-Fold device here, but a previous rumor indicated that it will be called Samsung G Fold, which would fit into the current name scheme for Samsung’s foldable series.
The upcoming handset will apparently match the current Galaxy Z Fold 6 with regard to screen lighting (2,600 NITs) and the cable charging speed (25W), but we are still mostly in the dark when it comes to the other key specifications.
It certainly sounds like we are getting a bumper crop of foldable from Samsung for the next few months, but the Galaxy G -folded (if that’s what it’s called) is perhaps the best of the flock – although it is also very very expensive.
