- Potential 24 April 2025 Release date for DJI’s new flagship consumer drone
- Features to include digital ND filters and 52-minute battery life
- Pricing can start from $ 2,250
We are eagerly waiting for official news about the DJI Mavic 4 Pro for a while, but if a new leak is true, we do not have to hold our breath for much longer. The leak also revealed some exciting news about Premium Drones Functional List, not to mention pricing.
The news comes from serial leaks Jasper Ellens, who runs the Dronexl site and is usually very accurate when it comes to revelations at DJI. In a story that was sent on the site, he claims to have received the information from two separate sources that both have never taken wrong in the past-but as always, we suggest that you treat these rumors with a pinch of salt, just as with any other leaks before release on tech gear.
Ellens claims that DJI Mavic 4 Pro will be launched on Thursday, April 24, 2025, just over four weeks from now, and that DJI would tease the message via an official video on April 17.
Today, two little birds told me the official #launch date, confirmed 7 key #features and on top of one even told me the official #prices for #djimavic4pro. Let’s dive into them! Cheers Jasperhttps: //t.co/A8CCT81J9YMarch 19, 2025
Is it Mavic 4 Pro’s top features?
Ellens’ sources also wasted the beans on Mavic 4 Pro’s function list. They claim that the drone, like its predecessor Mavic 3 Pro, comes with three cameras, with focal length corresponding to 28 mm, 70 mm and 168 mm. The sensor size will be larger than on Mavic 3 Pro, but offers video recording of up to 6K resolution.
The camera Gimbal has been fully redesigned, allowing for much larger range of motion, while ND filters will be digital and built into the camera rather than physical attachments sold as optional extras. These are two features that seem to be very popular with filmmakers as they greatly improve creative opportunities.
The life of the battery will be 52 minutes, which are previously jerked, while 240W fast charging allows a user to fully charge three batteries in just 90 minutes. Finally, DJI launches a brand new remote with the drone. Called RC Pro 2, this controller comes with a larger 7-inch touch screen that can be tilted.
Pricing revealed – but where is Lidar?
In terms of pricing, it seems that there will be three separate bundles to buy. Ellens’ sources claim that the DJI Mavic 4 Pro (with an RC 2 controller) costs $ 2,250, while a DJI Mavic 4 Pro Fly More Combo (which is likely to contain two additional batteries, a charging hub, an RC 2 controller and a carrier bag) costs $ 3,200. Finally, he says there will be a DJI Mavic 4 Pro 512GB creator commodity, which will apparently include all of the above but replace RC 2 for the RC Pro 2 controller and costs $ 4,400.
All of the above sounds totally plausible to us-yourself We think it is interesting that there is no mention of the very rumored Lidar module and if Ellens is right, we will undoubtedly begin to see a drip feed of additional leaks (and potential official teasing from DJI) during the 24th of April date. So we probably have more rumors about DJI’s upcoming flagship camera drone to share with you very soon.
