- More details of Nothing Phone 3 have emerged online
- It looks like a significant upgrade over Nothing Phone 2
- The processor running the phone has already become official
The extended wait for Nothing Phone 3 is over sometime in July when the handset gets its official disclosure, but ahead of time we have a party leaked specifications that tell us what we can expect from the upcoming unit.
According to Tipster @gadget_Bits (via notebookcheck), Nothing Phone 3 comes with a 6.7-inch, 1.5K resolution OLED screen that matches Nothing Phone 2 and a 5,150 mAh capacity battery-up from 4,700 mAh.
The cable charging speeds are said to get a shock from 45W to 100W. A launch date of July 1 is also listed that matches what has not previously said of a launch window in July. It would be a week on Tuesday from today, so if it is exactly, nothing should make the date official soon.
The phone will apparently have a 50MP front-facing camera and a triple lens 50MP + 50MP + 50MP camera around the back, with 3x optical zoom via a perisci lens and an ultrawide lens included in the mixture. In comparison, the Nothing Phone 2 has a 32MP selfie camera and a double lens 50mp + 50MP camera on the back.

We get a few more bits from the same leak that everyone is pretty much as you would expect, including support for NFC and ESIMS. The phone is the tip of coming up with nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15 out of the box.
Nothing has already confirmed that the upcoming phone 3 will be run by a Snapdragon 8S Gen 4 chipset, so it is not surprising that this is also mentioned in the leak. It’s not the best mobile Snapdragon CPU around right now, but it’s good up there.
The rest of the specifications match the processor in being very good if not best in class. It will be interesting to see how Nothing Phone 3 is priced: Rumors are that it could start at $ 799 in the US, which would make it more expensive than its predecessor launched by 2023 for $ 599 / £ 579 / AU $ 1,049.
We know that nothing jumped over a year between launches because it wanted to make sure the software on board and AI was exactly right, so it will be interesting to see what happens in this department as well. We have previously heard that there will be some “breakthrough innovations” with regard to the user interface.
