- Motorola has revealed Moto Weat Fit – A New Android Fitness Tracker
- It looks like very Apple Watch but with up to 16 days of battery life
- We got some practical time clockwise; Here is our first thoughts
Motorola has revealed its latest smartwatch, Moto Weas Fit. Moto Watch Fit, sporting a square design, similar to Apple Watch, is a slim, lightweight fitness tracker that works with all Android phones, with a large 1.9-inch amoled screen (topped with hard Gorilla glass).
Unlike the Apple Watch, it can reportedly run for up to 16 days on a single charge – more than 20 times the battery life of your standard Apple Watch Series 10.
While the best Apple Watch, Apple Watch Ultra 2, peaks out in 36 hours of battery life, most Apple Watch only lasts for 18 hours. This is largely due to the watch that drives the power-hungry Watchos operating system. They also pack goodies that Watch Fit doesn’t, such as a speaker and microphone to take calls and play alarm sounds.
We do not yet know if Moto Watch Fit will run the Wear OS 5 as a true Android smartwatch, but from this first look I doubt it. I imagine it will be an alternative with low effect more like the best fitness trackers that tend to last about a week. Sixteen days look more like Garmin Watch -Territory; A very impressive achievement.
While it looks like an Apple Watch, there are a few other differences except for the missing speaker and microphone. First, there is no digital crown as Motorola has chosen to include a tactile side button instead, as a Fitbit Versa model.
The watch has GPS on board for tracking training, such as running, walking and cycling. There is 5atm water resistance for swimmer and an aluminum frame with a plastic left to save weight (it’s only 25 g). Its price and release date is unknown, but based on the specifications we can imagine it will be around the price of an Apple Watch see 2.

Hands-on thoughts
Our American mobile editor Philip Berne got a short hands-in time with Moto Weat Fit. He said the following:
“Motorola Moto Was Fit was a surprise launch along with the latest Motorola Razr phones, and it seems that it is definitely more focused on fitness tracking than smartwatch features.
“It looks and feels like a slimmer Apple Watch with its Squircle shape and square display, and the replacement watches even look like suspicious like Apple’s Watch Band -Design. I was surprised that Moto Watch Fit is missing speakers so it won’t be able to play alarm sounds.
“It still puts nicely and flat on my arm, it feels very easy, and it’s durable enough to keep up with any activity you want to throw on a normal smartwatch, including 5atm water resistance. Motorola claims that Moto Watch Fit will deliver 16 days of battery life, so maybe cut all these features have a real advantage for fitness fans.”
