- Moto Buds Loop has sound by Bose and spatial sound
- Available in glittering and non-scary versions
- Reportedly £ 129 (approx. $ 171) without crystals, £ 249 (about $ 330) with them
The new Motorola open earplugs in partnership with Bose, we told you about a few days ago are official. They are called Moto Bud’s loop, they are an earMan jet design, and they come with glittering bits embedded in the buds.
There is also a non-scary option, but it is much less fun.
As expected, these sounds of Bose – and that means the sound experience must be pretty good. But it is the visual design that makes these buds stand out.
Motorola Buds Loop: Key features
There are two color settings here. Trekking Green is a very dark green color, while French oak is more of a champagne.
The French oak looks much more luxurious than the green, and that is before you open the case and see that the buds have Swarovski crystals embedded in their arches.
It’s smart of Motorola to offer a non-bling opportunity because I think for any person who goes “Ooh! Sparkly!” Like me, there will be someone going “EWW! Power!”
Both models have identical spec: 12 mm drivers, two microphones with Motorolas Crystalthal AI, spatial sound and up to eight hours of playing time from the buds and a total of 37 hours via the case. The charging time is 60 minutes.
We saw the buds at an event but couldn’t try their sound quality – but at this US event, Motorola did not reveal the award. This will be pretty common about US launches as companies care if they need to change prices due to duty between message and release-see just on Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders for a good example.
But there is an alleged British price for these buds, reported by NotebookCheck, which gives us some guidance. It is said that they are £ 129 (about $ 171 / AU $ 270) for the Green Swarovski-free model and £ 249 (approximately $ 330 / AU $ 520) for the forest’s own model.
The lower price puts them in line with a lot of the best open earplugs, so it comes to how good they sound-we were very impressed with Moto’s last bonding with Bose, Moto Buds+and especially praised the sound quality.
Their biggest problem was locking key features for Motorola phones and not making the control app available for iOS at all -hopefully Motorola will solve this error this time because Forest Oak could appeal to a lot of gold iPhone owners …
