Karachi:

The members of the Sindh assembly belonging to MQM-P have strongly criticized the proposal from KMC to increase the municipal charges and call it a further burden to the citizens of Karachi and Hardness from the USURPER representatives of KMC.

The right -wing members of the provincial assembly said that Karachi pays more than 95% of the total number of provincial and over 70% of the federal taxes from the hard -earned money in citizens and to introduce additional tax burdens on them will make their lives even more difficult.

KMC has not provided basic municipal facilities to its citizens. Under PPP’s mayor, the city is reduced to a state of decay.

The revenue generated by KMC does not reach the people directly, but is devoured by the ‘system’.

Given these serious circumstances, they demanded a third -party audit of KMC rather than increasing municipal taxes. This would allow Karachi’s citizens to know where their money is spent.
