Lahore: Multan Sultans won the thrown and chose to first beat against Peshawar Zalmi in the 25th match in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Despite Multan’s historical dominance over Peshawar with an impressive 11 wins in 16 meetings, this season has painted another picture for both sides.

The Sultans find themselves weakening at the bottom of the table with only one win from eight matches and an approximately Net -Rent of -2,597, while Zalmi occupies the fifth position with three wins from seven matches and a net rate of -0.507.

This meeting marks the second meeting between these teams in PSL 2025, where their previous clashes result in a crushing 120-run victory for Peshawar Zalmi in the match 9-a sharp reversing of the traditional head-to-head dynamic.

This result marked the sultans’ gloomy campaign, which has seen them mathematically eliminated from the playoff stride regardless of their performances in their remaining two fixtures.

In contrast, Peshawar Zalmi maintains slim hope of reaching the playoffs, but has to win all three of their remaining matches while hoping that other results go their way.
