Murreees winter charm drawing weekend visitors

Over the weekend, the picturesque hill station Murree saw a massive influx of tourists who were eager to experience his snowy tops and cool, crispy air.

Roads that led to Murree were clogged with cars, motorcycles and buses as families, friends and couples flowed to the popular destination revealed a report from a private news channel.

Murrees winter landscape caught visitors with its frozen views, frozen lakes and scenic valleys, making it the perfect winter flight.

A student from Islamabad who visited friends exclaimed, “I’ve been waiting for this journey for weeks!” A Lahore businessman who visits with his family shared, “I love to come to Murree; it’s so peaceful and quiet. The kids are doing well and we enjoy the cool weather,” as his children played in the park.

Local suppliers were equally pleased with the tourist wave. Rashid, a shop owner at Murree’s Mall Road, said, “It’s been a wonderful weekend for business. We’ve had many customers and sales have been healthy.”

Despite heavy traffic and overload, tourists remained in high mood and soften in the breathtaking view and lively atmosphere. “It’s a bit crowded, but it’s worth it,” said a tourist from Karachi as he stroll along Mall Road.

To control the heavy traffic, the traffic police were deployed along the route and advised motorists to show caution.
