- The first wave of Superman FUNKO POP -Figures have been revealed
- A character’s figure seems to spoil a larger plot detail from the movie
- Fans have long suspected that this person was not the one they seemed to be
It has happened again. Just weeks after a leaked LEGO set revealed our first look at The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘Villain in galactus, the first wave of Superman Funko Pop characters have apparently spoiled a big plot point for another in 2025’s most expected superhero movie.
Yesterday (May 29) Eagle-Eyed fans noted that a Superman Funko Pop collection had been added to Vinyl Figurine Collectibles website. Not surprisingly contained the setup Several characters that will appear in James Gunn’s Superman Movies, including the titular hero, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, and a number of Metahumans who will play supportive roles.
However, a particular funko pop has anything but confirmed one of the greatest fan theories around DC Universe’s (DCU) first film release. Potentially large spoilers follow immediately In the 2025s Superman Movie, then return now if you don’t want to know any plotpoint until you see it.
The funko pop -pop concerns Hammer of Boravia. An original character created for this DCU chapter 1 movie, it is said to be the primary warrior of a fictional nation called Boravia.
Given this character’s name it checks out – or does it? You can see if you click on the hammer of Boravia’s figure on Funko’s website, you are greeted with some surprising information about those who suggest that they are not the one they seem.

As you can see in the above screen, why are there two pictures of Ultraman, another villain ready to appear in SupermanIn Funko Pop form on the hammer of Boravia’s Funko Pop Side? Is this a mistake from Funko’s side?
Not quite. As I previously pointed out, a new villain is seen (being the hammer of Boravia), as Superman is seen fighting in the film’s official trailer, not the one who all thinks it is. Long story short, it’s because I and many other DC fans think the hammer is ultraman in disguise, and we also think Ultraman is a clone of Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman. You can read more about this Fantle theory via the aforementioned link and my Superman Trailer # 2 collapse.

There is also further evidence to back up this claim to the funko site. Look at the picture above and you can read the official description that accompanies the hammer of the Boravia figure.
“Prepare Superman for a showdown against pop! Hammer of Boravia!” That sounds. “Expand your DC collection by making this crook for the next addition to your Superman Lineup. There is a 1 out of 6 chance that you can find the hunt of pop! DC’s Ultraman. “
Now this does not explicitly confirm that the hammer of Boravia and Ultraman is the same. However, there is a very specific word in the description that strongly means they are. The word in question? Hunt.
For those who are not so clued up on the funko pops and/or have no interest in them, a hunting figure is a limited version, special funko pop-up of a regular figure. Essentially, this means that Ultraman is a hunting variant of the hammer of Boravia, giving additional weight to the fact that they are the same character.
We only find out with certainty whether these antagonists are the same person when Superman Flies in theaters all over the world on July 11. However, given the amount of evidence, I would be absolutely stunned if this is not the case when one of the 2025’s most exciting new films finally takes off. In the meantime, you can stream previous films starring in Man of Steel at Max, also known as one of the world’s best streaming services.
