Aaron Rodgers is happy to be part of Pittsburgh Steelers after a long offseason trip led to him finally signing with the franchise.

But he is not the only one who was excited to see him in AFC North. Cleveland Brown’s Star Edge Rusher Myles Garrett also licks his chops.

“What do I think of that?” Garrett said Tuesday at Brown’s MiniCamp about Rodgers, who joined his division rival. “I think it’s a great opportunity to put him in the cemetery.”

Garrett’s Quip refers to his job getting rodgers on the grass when their team meets twice this season. In fact, Garrett could refer to what he is doing in his house every Halloween: Setting up tombstones with quarterbacks, which he has fired over his famous career.

Aaron Rodgers officially signs a year of contract with Steelers worth over $ 13 million: Report

Rodgers are not stranger to being fired. He has an all-time record for most sacks taken with 571 over 248 career games. But he has not been removed by Garrett over his 20 NFL seasons.

They only faced each other once, and it was in week 16 in the 2021 season when Rodgers was still with Green Bay Packers. It was a 24-22 win over Cleveland, and Garrett was unable to get Rodgers behind the line for a sack.

He hopes to change it now after Rodgers, the 41-year-old four-time MVP, signed a one-year deal reportedly worth $ 13.65 million with Steelers on Saturday and locked in for another NFL season.

Rodgers goes out of a year with the New York Jets, his first full season with the franchise, after he suffered a torn Achilles in week 1 in 2023. He went 5-12 as the team starts, although injured early on inhibited his production. He threw in 3,897 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Meanwhile, Browns had another tough season after Quarterback Deshaun Watson tore his own Achilles early in the year. Browns ended up walking 3-14, but Garrett won his sixth career Pro Bowl nod after a total of 14 sacks, 22 tackles for loss (leading NFL) and 47 combined tackles over 17 games.

The first time these two will be able to go head-to-head will be October 12 when Rodgers and Steelers host Garrett and Browns.
