ISLAMABAD:
The National Assembly passed three bills on Friday.
The bills were tabled by the Federal Minister for Investment Board, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, including the PEMRA Amendment Bill, 2025, Associated Press of Pakistan Corporation (Amendment Bill), 2025]and Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) (Amendment Bill), 2025].
According to the Statement of Purpose and Reasons, the Associated Press of Pakistan Corporation (APPC) operates under the administrative control of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and functions as the State News Agency under the APP Ordinance, 2002.
