NA -Session postponed due to lack of cattle

Islamabad:

The National Assembly Session was postponed without any procedure Wednesday after the government failed to meet the decision -making skills after an objection raised by a PTI member.

The session, led by Vice President Ghulam Mustafa Shah, was stopped shortly after starting when PTI MNA Iqbal Afridi pointed out the lack of decision -making.

A 15-minute break was announced to allow the government to gather the required number of members, but the participation remained inadequate even after the break. The session was then postponed until 1 p.m. 11 Friday (today).

During the session, only 76 members of the ruling coalition were present in parliament. Parliamentary Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry was seen efforts to bring in more members, but several PPP legislators left the chamber during the process. PPP MNA Agha Rafiullah allegedly signaled her colleagues about leaving the house and undermining the cattle.

Chaudhry later accused PPP of deliberately sabotaging the quorum despite the government’s efforts to meet the required numbers. PPP legislator Ramesh Lal was seen to mock the minister about his struggle to maintain participation in parliament.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated in a written response during the session assembly that passports from 50,000 individuals have been blacklisted at the request of Fia Balochistan to try to illegally enter Iran and European countries.

The blacklisted individuals were reportedly involved in illegal border crossings, passports, fraud and human smuggling. The persons affected may appeal to the removal of their names from the black list by approaching the Directorate -General for Passport through the standard procedure.

At Cyber Crime, the Ministry of the Interior stated that in 2024 FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing registered 13,722 studies related to online fraud. A total of 832 cases were registered, which led to the arrest of 1,212 persons.
