Nab calls Azam Swati in the Funds Survey

Peshawar:

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chapter has issued a formal call-up message to senior politician Mohammad Azam Khan SWATI in connection with an ongoing investigation into the alleged illegal withdrawal and abuse of government funding.

The query launched under section 18 (C) and 19 of the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO), 1999, centers on financial irregularities involving officials at the District Office’s office in Kohistan and affiliated units. The case relates to public funds listed under MES 323205.

According to the message, NAB received a complaint that suggested that SWATI may have crucial financial documents relevant to the case. He has been instructed to perform before the combined investigative team (CIT-I), Investigation Wing-I, at Nab’s regional office in Phase-V, Hayatabad, Peshawar.

SWATI has been asked to present himself on June 23, 2025 at 1 p.m. 11:00 together with complete items of all payments received from M/S Kohistan Associate and Builders during the year 2024.

“In the light of the accusations, it has been observed that you are in custody of important items relevant to the case,” says the documentation is important for a fair and thorough examination.

The message also warns that non -compliance may result in compulsory actions under the relevant provisions of NAO, 1999.

The call message was signed by Muhammad Kamran, Deputy CEO (coordination) on behalf of the director, Investment Wing-I.

This development comes in the midst of increased control of alleged incorrect funding systems in various districts throughout KP as Nab rises on its crash on both current and former government officials.
