Nadra Issuing Cnics with Lifetime of Citizens

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new initiative offering Lifetime Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC) to Pakistani citizens who voluntarily promise to donate their bodies.

These smart national identity cards will carry a green heart symbol as a brand of humanitarian contribution.

Qualified people aged 18 or over can get the marked Smart National Identity Card (SNIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (Nicop) by visiting any Nadra Registration Center.

The feature is also available via the Pak-ID mobile application.

Meanwhile, the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has launched a digital system for birth and death registration in hospitals and health centers across the country.

According to a Nadra spokesman, agreements have been signed between Nadra and provincial governments on the modernization of the civil registration system.

A formal signing ceremony was held in Karachi, where Sindh’s Health Secretary, Local Government Secretary and Nadra Sindh Henbed Director Ehtesham Shahid signed the agreement.

Sindh’s Minister of Local Government Saeed Ghani was also present at the event.
