National Database and Registration Authority has opened new relief counters in four countries to provide better services to overseas Pakistanis.
According to a national database and registration authority (Nadra) spokesman, the counters have been established at Pakistani embassies in Montreal and Vancouver in Canada, Milan in Italy, Manama in Bahrain and Amman in Jordan.

The spokesman added that a counter in Rome will soon become operational.
Nadra, the official said, upgrades and digitizes his systems to improve service delivery. Pakistani citizens abroad can also use the authority’s “Pak Identity” mobile application to process various identification services externally, including online agreements and document renewal.

On the other hand, Nadra has recently introduced a number of reforms aimed at improving citizen services and data accuracy. At the Directives of the Ministry of the Interior, the authority has done CNIC’s annual rolling after death for free, which helps families avoid complications in heritage and pension requirements.
The authority has also expanded its digital ecosystem through the mobile application “Pak Identity”, which allows citizens to renew identity cards, verify biometrics and access key services externally. The app’s “Proof of Life” feature launched this year allows retirees facing fingerprint problems to verify their status online without visiting Nadra offices.
