Naomi Campbell has refused to be banned from the biggest evening of the fashion.
The British supermodel, 54, dealt with speculation about her ban after Diss in September 2024 against the Vogue editor and met host, 75, in a recent statement.
“Congratulations to Anna Wintour, the brilliant designers, the dedicated Met Gala team and fantastic participants in tonight’s extraordinary party,” she wrote on social media ahead of the event.
She then continued with regard to the theme, “I have to say what perfect timing for superfine: tailor -made black style theme. It really celebrates how black dandyism has shaped fashion and how fashion has been a way for black people to express who they are, and claim their power.”
Campbell then clarified that she was invited to attend and it was her choice not to go. “I was so honored to be invited to tonight’s big event, but unfortunately can’t handle it.”
“Although I’m not there in person,” she added. “I am with you all in spirit, carried by the legacy of my beloved friend, the deceased other Leon Talley. His commanding presence, vision and belief that fashion is art, helped shape what Met Gala presents tonight.”

The model signed with, “I can’t wait to see how everyone mixes African and European style traditions on the famous steps tonight! Creativity will be great. With all my love and admiration, Naomi Campbell.”
Campbell shared in a recent interview that she no longer attends the event because she feels “too old.”
“‘It’s my last. I can’t … I’m too old. It’s too much for me, the anxiety,” said the supermodel in a YouTube video last week, referring to her Gala performance in 2024.
For the unwarter life, Campbell and Wintour’s feud at the New York Fashion Week ceremony last September last year, when the Vogue head was awarded to present supermodel with Fashion Icon Award.
Anna, who reportedly left the event early, turned the blame on the supermodel by accusing her of being “often late” and back without presenting Gong to Campbell.
When the model came in, Harpers Basar Editor -in -Chief Samira NASR presented the award to Campbell instead.
The Runway star hit back on Wintour’s diss and said, “I will say this. Everything is meant to find out as it will work. It wasn’t my choice to have the other lady. I would much rather have this,” Campbell said, gesticulating to NASR.
A DISS -COMMUNITY Under Campbell’s post from the night read: “Why are you always too late? So disrespectful to everyone. #Annawintour”, as Campbell replied: “I was just as planned for @HarlemsMashionrow”
