Islamabad:
The Federal Minister of Law Azam Nazeer Tarar on Thursday was chairman of the initial meeting of a committee set up under a revised National Action Plan (NAP) in the midst of a recent increase in terrorism in the country on the Directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The committee has been established to assess terrorism measures, tackle violent extremism and fill in legal gaps.
The meeting participated in provincial law ministers and the federal secretary of law who appreciated the federal government’s reforms of criminal justice. It was collectively decided to work on legal reforms on an urgent basis for ensuring rapid justice.
