Naqvi calls for UAE to facilitate visa policy of Pakistanis during his visit

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called on the United Arab Emirates to facilitate visump policies for Pakistani citizens.

On an official visit to UAE, the Interior Minister discussed the bilateral relations on security, maturity and immigration policies with UAE-Vice Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Lieutenant Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“We want Pakistani citizens to come to UAE with ease,” Naqvi said, pressing for relaxation in UA’s visa policy.

Uaes Interior Minister expressed complete support in this regard, according to the State Government App.

During the visit, Naqvi was introduced to senior UAE officials and engaged in high-level discussions with a focus on visa facilitation for Pakistani citizens, especially work visas.

Both sides confirmed their obligation to expand cooperation in key areas, including security, anti-smuggling efforts and the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to tackle new security challenges.

Naqvi also toured the modern police and operations center for the Abu Dhabi police, where he was informed of the city’s advanced surveillance and crime prevention systems. He paid tribute to technological innovations and expressed interest in introducing similar systems in Pakistan.

The most important officials present included Major General Salem Ali Al Shamsi, Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Brigadier -Engineer Hussain Ahmed, Brigadier Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, and Pakistan’s Ambassador in UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi and Senior Diplomats.

Naqvi completed his visit by calling UAE-Pakistan brotherly relations a national asset and expressed Pakistan’s desire to elaborate on cooperation in all areas, especially security and public welfare.

Previously, he treated widespread concerns about Visa rejection from UAE. He expressed hope of a positive result, especially for Pakistani business travelers who often visit the Gulf Nation.

NAQVI also highlighted an ongoing effort to improve the global location of the Pakistani passport with the aim of having a significant increase within two years.
