Nascar driver Christopher Bell dedicated his NASCAR CUP series Victory at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, Saturday to Conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was murdered earlier this week in Utah.

Moments after climbing out of his car, Bell announced that his victory was dedicated to Kirk.

“It wasn’t beautiful there at the end, but we got her done,” said Bell, the driver of the No. 20 Dewalt Toyota, after the victory.

“The most important thing is that this week has obviously been a very tough week. You know there is a lot in our minds,” he continued.

“This one is to Charlie,” Bell added.

Kirk, 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on campus at Utah Valley University on Wednesday afternoon. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition before he was later declared dead.

The alleged gunman was identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, whose family persuaded him to turn in after a two-day manhunt.

Other big numbers in sports have hailed Kirk since his murder on Wednesday.

Chicago Cubs also paid tribute to Kirk before the team’s games on Friday. By describing him as a lifelong Cubs fan, the team held a “moment of reflection” and called to end “all political violence.”

New York Yankees was the first Pro Sports team to honor Kirk and held a moment of silence to commemorate the influencer before Wednesday’s match against Detroit Tigers.

Meanwhile, the NFL released a statement on Friday that addressed a tribute to Kirk ahead of his latest game, and said teams will be left to make their own decisions about whether to follow this Sunday.

Thursday evening’s game between Green Bay Packers and the Washington commanders contained a moment of silence in honor of Kirk before kick-off.

“Last night’s moment was the league’s decision. It’s up to the clubs for this Sunday matches,” reads the league’s statement.
